Building and remodeling in Hollywood
Hollywood is a neighborhood of the City of Los Angeles, so permits go through the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety. It ranges from flat apartment streets to the hillside homes of the Hollywood Hills.
Hillside work is common here, and slope, access and drainage drive both the design and the price. Some areas are historic districts with additional review.
